Heating & Cooking Instructions
Here are some instructions for how to reheat, cook or freeze our dishes. Please do feel free to contact us if you have any questions at all.

Pork and tamarind curry w/ aromatic rice
Monica's chicken and chorizo paella with peppers and peas
Gnocchi with garlic butter, red chilli, tenderstem broccoli and almond pangrattato (V)
CURRY & RICE. The best way to reheat the curry and the rice is in the microwave. Transfer to a microwave-proof container and heat the curry for 4 minutes on full power, stirring mid way. Check it is piping hot throughout. Reheat the rice for approx. 2 minutes, again till piping hot. If you don’t have a microwave you can transfer to saucepans and heat over a medium heat until piping hot throughout.
GNOCCHI. Melt the butter into a pan over a low to medium heat then add a couple of tablespoons of hot water. Add the gnocchi & broccoli and toss in the butter / water for a couple of minutes until hot through. Divide between two plates and top with the pan grattato.
PAELLA. Loosen the lid on the black container and microwave on full power for 4 – 5 minutes, stirring a couple of times throughout. If you don’t have a microwave, transfer to an ovenproof container, adding a splash of water as you do. Cover loosely with foil and place in a pre heated oven at 180C for around 15 minutes, stirring half way, until piping hot throughout.
PORK & BEEF MEATBALLS WITH TOMATO SAUCE, RIGATONI AND MASCARPONE
Decant the meatballs and pasta to an over tray dish and bake in a preheated 190C oven for 25 min until the meatballs are cooked through and all its hot.

Kyet thar thoke - Spiced chicken salad w/ crispy shallots & slaw
Kyethun kyaw - Onion fritters w/ sour dipping sauce (vegan)

Pavlova w/ lime & mango fool
CHICKEN SALAD. Decant the salad into a bowl and toss through with the dressing and coriander leaves. Spread between two plates and serve.
ONION FRITTERS. Preheat the oven to 180c. Place the fritters on a baking tray and heat for around 6 – 7 minutes until crisped up and hot. Serve with the dipping sauce.

PAVLOVA. Place the pavlovas on plates and spoon the fool over the top. ENJOY!
APPLE & BLACKBERRY CRUMBLE. Pre-heat the oven to 180c. Remove the outer packaging and place on a baking tray and into the oven for 15 - 20 minutes, until piping hot throughout.
Reheat the custard gently in a sauce pan or in the microwave, stirring regularly until nice and hot.

Example dishes: Paella (vegan or meat), Comforting Beef Shin Chilli Con Carne, Basmati rice
Many of our meals for two, soups and side dishes can be reheated in the microwave, particularly those with a lot of sauce such as curries and soups.
If the meal arrives in a foil container, decant the meal into a microwavable container as a ceramic dish or a Tupperware then cover loosely with a plate or cling film. If your meal arrives in a black recyclable container then it's good to go straight in the microwave.
Reheat at full power for two minutes. Take the meal out and stir then reheat for another two minutes, again at full power. Ensure the meal is piping hot throughout before transferring to a plate or bowl to eat, as microwave powers and models do differ.
(Note. Side dishes such as basmati rice will not take as long to reheat, so please reduce the reheating time accordingly).

Example dishes: Sausage & fennel pasta, Mac n Cheese, Thyme & Garlic Roast Potatoes
Many of our meals for two can be reheated in the oven at 180C. Remove the cardboard lid from the meal’s foil container and replace with some foil.
Pop the meal in the oven for roughly 15 minutes until it is piping hot all the way through, stir part way through the cooking if you are able (we know you can't do this with bake at home dishes such as pies or lasagne). Transfer to plates before eating.
Freezing at Home & Using our Frozen Meals
Many of our dishes can be frozen by you at home. Please freeze on the day you receive the delivery and write the date on the container so that you know what date you froze it on. If you are receiving our frozen meals, also make a note of the day you added to your freezer.
Unless the dish says to cook from frozen, please defrost the dish completely in the fridge before reheating as above (in oven or microwave).

FROZEN MEAL FOR 2. Roast chicken, tarragon, leek & lemon pot pie to bake at home
To bake from frozen, preheat the oven to 200c. Take the lid off the foil container and bake for approximately 50 - 60 minutes until the puff pastry is risen and golden and the filling piping hot throughout.
FROZEN MEAL FOR 2. Bake at home polpetti in rich tomato ragu w/ Parmesan mascarpone
To bake from frozen, preheat the oven to 180c. Take the lid off the foil container and replace with a piece of tin foil, then bake for approximately 30 minutes until piping hot throughout. You may wish to take the foil off got the last 10 minutes to gratinate the top.
FROZEN MEAL FOR 2. Roast squash, spinach, ricotta & hazelnut lasagne - bake at home
To bake from frozen, preheat the oven to 180c. Take the lid off the foil container and replace with a piece of tin foil, then bake for approximately 35 - 40 minutes until piping hot throughout. You may wish to take the foil off got the last 10 minutes to gratinate the top.
FROZEN PASTA FOR 1 - 2. Cook at home, fresh pork sausage, sage & onion ravioli w/ pancetta, broccoli, thyme & garlic butter sauce
Cook from frozen. Simply cook the ravioli for 4 minutes in a pan of salted, boiling water then drain, put them back into the pan and add the provided sauce of thyme, lemon & butter, the pancetta lardons and the cooked broccoli and heat up for 1 - 2 minutes, stirring the pasta into the sauce.
FROZEN PASTA FOR 1 - 2. Cook at home, handmade sweet pea & mint ravioli w/ asparagus, peas & pesto (VEGAN)
Cook from frozen. Simply cook the ravioli for 4 minutes in a pan of salted, boiling water then drain, put them back into the pan and add the provided accompaniments of asparagus, peas and pea pesto and heat up for 1 - 2 minutes, stirring the pasta into the sauce.
FROZEN MEAL FOR 2. Classic Beef Lasagna
Take out of the freezer and defrost before cooking. Preheat the oven to 180c. Take the lid off the foil container and replace with some foil. Bake for approximately 30 minutes then remove the foil and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes. Check the centre is piping hot before serving. Allow to stand covered in foil for approx 5 minutes before serving so the layers can firm up.
Croquetas & Arancini
These products are best fried from frozen so please keep in the freezer until ready to use. Heat some vegetable oil in a pan until it reaches 170c (or until a piece of bread turns golden in 30 seconds). Cook in batches until they are golden on the outside but heated through to the centre.
Take the lid off the container with the vegetables and chicken, pour 3 tablespoons of the chicken ramen broth into the base of the container, place the lid back on and microwave for 1 - 2 minutes to start heating up the vegetables & chicken. They are already cooked so you don't want to over cook the vegetables too much.
Arrange the vegetables, noodles and chicken in two pre-warmed bowls as you would like to serve them.
Heat the chicken ramen broth in the microwave or in a pan until piping hot then pour over the chicken, vegetables & noodles.
Sticky Toffee Pudding
The sticky toffee puddings are lovely as they are but even better served warm. The best way to heat them (and the sauce) is to give them a 20 – 30 second blast in the microwave until they are steaming slightly.
