This month we return to our successful collaboration with with The Rangoon Sisters, Amy & Emily Chung, who recently released their cookbook - 'Recipes from our Burmese kitchen'.

The Rangoon Sisters Cookbook was released on the 30th July 2020 and as part of the celebration LKD delivered 100 meals across London for folks to take part in a virtual supper club with the sisters.

We've now decided to make the three-courser a regular on our site so more people across the UK can experience Burmese food and these delicious dishes.

How to order.
Choose the Meat / Fish Meal or Vegetarian Meal

DELIVERY. Local delivery by hand. National delivery by next day courier in thermal packaging. Please see details of our delivery terms & conditions HERE.

Consume within two days of receipt, for example if received on Friday consume by end of Saturday.

THE MEAT / FISH MEAL 

Starters
Kyet thar thoke - Spiced chicken salad.
A delicious and refreshingly crunchy salad. White cabbage dressed in lime juice, garlic oil, fish sauce, chilli, toasted gram flour and shallots, topped with spiced grilled chicken and garnished with crispy fried shallots and coriander (contains fish sauce).

Main course 
Maygi wet thar hin - Pork & tamarind curry.
Tamarind and palm sugar create a sweet & sour flavour in this curry, making it distinct from other styles of Burmese curry. Pork shoulder is braised with spices such as turmeric, paprika and chilli powder, plus the tamarind water, to create a meltingly soft curry. Served w/ aromatic rice (contains fish sauce).

Dessert
Mango, lime & coconut meringues.
Pink peppercorn spiked-individual pavlovas are delivered to you to dress with a lime & mango fool, desiccated coconut (contains milk and egg).

THE VEGETARIAN MEAL 

Starters
Kyethun kyaw - Onion fritters with sour dipping sauce (vegan)
Crunchy and addictive onion fritters served with a tamarind, garlic, ginger and chilli sauce (contains gluten)

Main course 
Shwe payon thee hin - Burmese Pumpkin Curry (vegan)
But we use squash! A delicious warm spiced squash curry with onions, ginger, garlic, turmeric, cinnamon, chiili, tamarind and soy. Served w/ aromatic rice (contains soy).

Dessert
Thayet thee ohn thee mont - Mango, lime & coconut meringues
Pink peppercorn spiked-individual pavlovas are delivered to you to dress with a lime & mango fool, desiccated coconut (contains milk & egg).
